– Lalitā Sahasranāma
As the commander whose wishes are never disobeyed,
Devī’s will drives the universe as well as the lives of each of us.
She works through us in our thought and deed,
residing in the king of cakras, the Śrīcakra.
Devī is the supreme beauty of the triads of creation,
which she pervades as the auspicious Śivā and
the auspicious union of Śivā-Śakti.
As this Supreme auspiciousness, she is known as the great mother Lalitā.
