Mahālakṣmī – The Abundance of the Universe

ārdrāṃ puṣkariṇīṃ puṣṭiṃ piṅgalām padmamālinīm |
candrāṃ hiraṇmayīṃ lakṣmīn jātavedo ma āvaha || 13 ||
– Śrī Sūktam

Bring to me, O Agnī,
This Lakṣmī who is wet, always flowing,
Who arises from bodies of water,
Who is the fundamental source of nourishment,
Always fresh, never decaying, pinkish,
Who wears garland of ever fresh lotuses,
Cooling as the moon and shimmering like gold
Bring this Lakṣmī to me!
